Stainless Steel 347 Nuts are stabilized austenitic stainless steel fasteners with 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and columbium/tantalum additions enhancing resistance to intergranular corrosion. They show tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and 40% elongation, thus providing superior toughness. They have a Brinell hardness of about 217 HB, which protects them against structural damage under high temperatures. They remain resistant to oxidation until 870°C and demonstrate good mechanical stability against thermal stress, thus being suitable for harsh environments that demand long lasting fastening performance and dimensional stability.
