Monel K500 Nuts are crafted from a precipitation-hardenable alloy that consists of about 63% nickel, 27–33% copper, along with trace amounts of aluminum and titanium. This unique combination allows for age-hardening, which significantly boosts strength and hardness. Typically, these nuts provide a tensile strength of 960–1100 MPa and a yield strength of around 690–830 MPa, with Brinell hardness ranging from 200–300 HB. Monel K500 not only retains the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 but also offers double the strength. It effectively resists stress corrosion cracking and erosion in high-velocity seawater, making it an ideal choice for extreme marine and chemical applications.
