Stainless Steel 321/321H Fasteners consist chiefly of 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and up to five times the carbon content of titanium, along with minute manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus contents. The titanium stabilization inhibits carbide precipitation, providing superior intergranular corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties feature high tensile strength, satisfactory creep strength, and superb toughness at elevated temperatures. Stainless Steel 321H, with greater carbon content, possesses better strength at elevated temperatures than 321. Both grades have structural stability and endurance under intense thermal and corrosive environments.
